As part of the College of Innovation and Design at Boise State University, the Venture College has an expanded program designed to give Boise State students an opportunity to explore new ideas, acquire skills outside of their major field of study, and start businesses or non-profits all while pursuing their education. Students can receive one-on-one coaching from experts, build networks of valuable connections, and pitch for money in a real world work place.
Since the start of its CORE program in August 2013, Boise State’s Venture College entrepreneurs have:
- won over $63,000 in cash awards and grants
- started 17 revenue generating businesses
- raised $250,000 in outside funding
- made over $300,00 in sales
