Tourism networks run deep in Idaho.
The Idaho Conference on Recreation and Tourism (ICORT) is an exceptional opportunity to learn about and network with other recreation and tourism professionals. The conference is held annually in October at different locations throughout the state, though some changes are necessary this year.
ICORT 2020—Transitioning to Virtual Destination Recovery Workshops
ICORT is being reimagined for 2020! Rather than two days of in-person educational sessions, Idaho Tourism is hosting a series of online workshops tailored to helping destination marketing organizations and tourism businesses create a roadmap to recovery and stability. The workshops will be facilitated by Coraggio Group, a travel and tourism consulting agency based in Portland, Oregon, that provides strategic insights to tourism organizations at every scale — from rural communities like Visit Casper and Mendocino County to metropolitan destinations, state tourism agencies and tourism attractions.
- The 2020 ICORT Destination Recovery Workshops Series will take place October 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. MDT (8:30-11:30 a.m. PDT) on the Zoom platform. Attendees should be prepared to attend all four weeks of sessions as the workshops are cumulative and build as you advance through the sessions.
- The Idaho Travel Council meeting will take place October 23 on the Zoom platform.
- ICORT sponsor opportunities are available. Please contact Amy Alpers with questions.
