BOISE, Idaho—Tuesday, March 6, 2018—Idaho Commerce Director Bobbi-Jo Meuleman has announced the promotion of Jake Reynolds to Business Development and Operations Administrator. Mr. Reynolds currently serves as the department’s Business Retention and Expansion Manager and will begin his new role on March 12th, 2018.

“Jake’s experience in economic development and leadership at the agency make him the perfect person for this important role,” said Director Meuleman. “I am excited for Jake to continue to find ways for Idaho Commerce to leverage partnerships and resources to assist Idaho businesses and help our communities prosper.”

In his new position, Mr. Reynolds will oversee department efforts across international trade, business attraction, community development, and business retention and expansion.

Additionally, Mr. Reynolds will oversee the execution of grant programs such as the Idaho State Trade Expansion Program (STEP), Community Development and Rural Community Development Block Grants, the Idaho Gem Grant, and the Rural Economic Development Professionals Program as well as incentive programs such as the Idaho Tax Reimbursement Incentive.

“Idaho communities and businesses are the backbone of our state. It is essential we foster an environment where existing Idaho companies can flourish, communities have access to economic development and infrastructure improvement assistance, and new companies find a welcoming business climate in all corners of our state,” said Reynolds. “When we take care of our businesses and communities, all Idahoans win.”
