|Idaho Aerospace Alliance Signs MOU with Basque Aerospace Cluster
|BOISE, Idaho—Friday, June 30, 2017—Idaho Aerospace Alliance (IDA) and HEGAN – Basque Aerospace Cluster announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) “to work together and with other like-minded organizations in the best interests of both clusters and the aerospace sector.” The agreement has been in discussion for several months and comes after IDA visited HEGAN recently during a trade mission to the Basque Country, which was spearheaded by the Basque and Boise Chambers of Commerce.
“This MOU is a big win for our developing alliance with the Basque country because Idaho can learn so much from their advanced aerospace cluster,” said Megan Ronk, director of Idaho Commerce.
One of the IDA members who traveled to the Basque Country to secure this MOU was the treasurer, Cheryl Adams. “We are so excited about this letter of intent between our two clusters. IDA and its members look forward to collaborating with the Basque team and its members on potential future projects, education, resource internships, innovation and cluster development,” said Adams.
The Idaho Aerospace Alliance focuses on representing manufacturers and suppliers that service the aerospace industry. Find out more about IDA on their website http://idaero.org/wordpress1/mission/.
