Paris Air Show 2017
The Idaho Department of Commerce is organizng an Idaho Pavilion at the International Paris Air Show in Paris, France to promote Idaho and Idaho companies.
Since its launch in 1909, the International Paris Air Show has grown tremendously over the years, and remains the largest aerospace event in the world. It takes place every other year and alternates with the Farnborough Airshow. This is an excellent opportunity for Idaho companies to gain significant international exposure. In the last 2015 addition, the show boasted:
- Over 351,000 visitors including nearly 150,000 trade visitors
- A record breaking 2,303 exhibitors from 48 countries
- $130 billion of orders announced
- 296 official delegations from 91 countries
- 146 Defense delegations from 87 counties
- 59 Civil Aviation delegations
- 90 Institutional delegations
- 28 Ministers and Secretaries of State
- 40 Chief’s of Defense Staff
- Over 4,300 accredited journalists form 72 countries
Scope of the Show:
- Aircraft: Construction and assembly and sub-assemblies
- Space, spacecraft, satellite, telecommunications
- Aircraft engines, aerospace powerplant and related equipment
- Airborne equipment and systems (including weapons)
- Pilot & navaids
- Cabin interiors
- Production equipment, tools and software
- Subcontracting (mechanical engineering and composite materials, aircraft interiors, etc.)
- Composite materials and surface treatment
- Maintenance, product support & spares, transport
- Services
- Airport equipment and services
