In 2006, Idaho Commerce awarded Madison County a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) to assist with the purchase and improvements for a 48,000 commercial building in Rexburg, Idaho.

Since the award, the building now houses the Upper Valley Industries within the DWI (Develop, Worth, Independence) vocational and educational training facility for individuals with disabilities or those who are disadvantaged.

The DWI and Upper Valley Options are still operational and continue to provide valuable training and other critical services to individuals with disabilities or to those who are disadvantaged.
