Idaho Commerce Announces New Public Information Specialist

“Taylor brings a wealth of communication experience and skills that will greatly improve how we deliver on our department’s mission to encourage investment in Idaho, advocate for our state’s businesses, and promote our community and business development programs,” said Idaho Commerce Director Bobbi-Jo Meuleman.

In this new position, Mrs. Walker will support communication and marketing efforts on behalf of Idaho Commerce including press releases, content creation, photography, website and social media management, and collateral development. Additionally, Mrs. Walker will be the primary contact for department media relations.

“I have an obsession with Idaho that goes beyond my day-to-day work. I look forward to sharing that passion with the Idaho Commerce teams and our economic development partners to create powerful messages that encourage discussion, growth and prosperous relationships,” said Walker.

Taylor Walker, new Public Information Specialist, joins Idaho Commerce in addition to her role as a photojournalist in the public affairs department of the Idaho Air National Guard. Prior to joining the military, Mrs. Walker worked for nearly a decade at AT&T where she specialized in marketing and training communications, training delivery, and project management. She has also held project and operations management roles at local companies including Red Sky and Scentsy, Inc. Mrs. Walker has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Boise State and is a distinguished honor graduate of the United States Air Force photojournalist technical training at the Defense Information School, Ft. Meade, Maryland. She and her husband, Kyle, live in Boise.
