Burley-Heyburn Industrial Park Gets a New Pipeline
BURLEY | Crews from Forsgren Associates dug into the icy Snake River Thursday, replacing an older wastewater pipeline with an 800-foot HDPE fusion pipe.
The existing pipeline has carried wastewater from the Burley-Heyburn Industrial Park to the wasterwater treatment plant on the river’s south side since the late 1970s. After years of rust from industrial wastewater, the line needs to be replaced, said project engineer David Waldron.
The $500,000 project, funded by a block grant from the Idaho Department of Commerce, called for the pipeline to be sunk back in November.
