Vie Active Announces First U.S. Headquarters in Ketchum |
The company will add 43 new high-paying jobs in Blaine County |
BOISE, Idaho—Thursday, December 1, 2016— Australian women’s activewear company, Vie Active, announced the creation of their first headquarters to Ketchum, Idaho. The company, which started in 2013 in Bondi Beach, Australia, is expected to bring 43 new jobs with an average wage of $51,900. “I’m pleased to welcome a new corporate citizen to Idaho, and I’m confident that the qualities that drew them here – our lifestyle, our scenic beauty, and most of all our people – will pay off for Vie Active, on the bottom line and beyond,” Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter said. Vie Active designs and creates activewear including sports bras and tights that are crafted from high quality, quick drying, sweat wicking, and anti-microbial fabrics including compression and Australian Merino. The goal is “performance driven, fashion-forward activewear built to stand up to the rigors of daily life, the demands of a workout, and everything in between.” All Vie Active products are designed by women, for women. “In Sun Valley, recreational activity is an integral part of everyday life—walking, running, hiking, biking, skiing—and activity is not necessarily measured by performance, it’s social and fun,” said Noa Ries, CEO and Co-Founder of Vie Active. “I started Vie Active because I wanted an activewear brand that really inspired and empowered a joyful approach to activity and so Sun Valley Idaho is the perfect place to be based. It’s really the epitome of an active life.” “It’s a pleasure to work with and welcome an Australian startup to our growing portfolio of dynamic young businesses,” said Harry Griffith, the executive director of Sun Valley Economic Development. “We see the TRI program as the perfect tool to attract talent, encourage innovation, and build diversity in the Blaine County economy.” The Idaho Economic Advisory Council approved Vie Active to receive a Tax Reimbursement Incentive (TRI) of 10 percent for a term of 5 years.
