2026 Official Idaho Travel Guide Inspires, Helps Travelers Plan Trips
New edition features stories on food and culture, accessibility and outdoor recreation
BOISE, Idaho (Jan. 5, 2026)—Visit Idaho has released its 2026 Official Idaho Travel Guide, a visually rich, story-driven publication spotlighting the natural beauty and diverse experiences across the state. Blending immersive storytelling with practical planning tips, the guide is designed to inspire first-time visitors, returning travelers and Idahoans. Inside, readers will find maps, trip ideas and in-depth articles on food, history, culture and outdoor recreation. Features include:
- “Native Roots, Modern Plates” profiles Pow’Waw Food Truck in Post Falls, where Chef Shane Clark serves up traditional Native American flavors with a contemporary spin.
- “On River Time” explores the state’s whitewater rivers, building on the themes featured in “The 3100™” documentary and docuseries.
- “50 Countries & Counting” follows travel writer Cory Lee as he navigates Idaho through the lens of wheelchair accessibility.
- “More Than a Rodeo” chronicles the 115-year history of the War Bonnet Round Up in Idaho Falls and its role in preserving Western heritage.
“Idaho offers room to explore at your own pace,” said Natalie Jushinski, tourism manager at Visit Idaho. “This year’s guide reflects that sense of space and perspective, sharing stories that encourage travelers to slow down and connect more deeply with the places they visit.”
As one of Visit Idaho’s primary trip-planning resources, the Idaho Travel Guide complements the tools, itineraries and tips available at visitidaho.org, helping travelers plan memorable vacations statewide.
The guide is available at no cost in both print and digital formats. Travelers may order a printed copy or download a digital version. Travelers are encouraged to share their trip on social media using #VisitIdaho.
