Hispanic Cultural Center of Idaho to Host 2nd Annual Cultural & Artesanal Showcase
The showcase will take place on October 15-18, 2015 at the Hispanic Cultural Center in Nampa, Idaho
BOISE, Idaho— Monday, October 5, 2015— Artisans from the state of Jalisco, Mexico, will exhibit their unique handcrafts at a cultural exchange October 15-18, 2015, at the Hispanic Cultural Center of Idaho in Nampa (315 Stampede Drive).
Government representatives from the city and state will be present alongside the Mexico Consulate to open this event offering Jalisco’s crafts, art, and culture in exhibits and workshops. A ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 p.m. on October 15 at the Hispanic Cultural Center will kick off the four-day cultural and artistic festival. The opening ceremonies will conclude with a gala buffet at 6:00 p.m.
October 16-18 will include workshops that are free and open to the public each day from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with an array of educational and cultural exhibits including live music and authentic Jalisco cuisine. Workshops by Jalisco artisans will demonstrate the making of art and crafts unique to the Mexican State of Jalisco. Exhibited crafts will also be available for sale.
The Hispanic Cultural Center of Idaho invites all community members to join them in celebrating this unique cultural exchange.
