Governor’s Valued Partner Awards Presented to Eight Companies
Awards were presented at the Paris Air Show in France
BOISE, Idaho—Friday, June 23, 2017—While attending the 2017 Paris Air Show in France, Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter presented eight Governor’s Valued Partner Awards to businesses and organizations for their valued contributions to the State of Idaho. The honor is given to existing customers or partners that have done business with an Idaho company and have made meaningful and noteworthy contributions to the success of the Idaho company.

“Idaho’s international partnerships are strong because of the meaningful relationships our companies have forged with the businesses that do so much for us,” Governor Otter said. “It is a great privilege for me to present these awards to our partners around the globe, and to express our appreciation for their continued support of our state’s economy.”

The Governor’s Valued Partner Awards are typically presented on Governor-led international trade missions, marking this presentation ceremony the first time the awards were presented at an international trade show. Award certificates are jointly presented by both Governor Otter and the nominating company representatives.

“It was truly an honor to present Richard Roller from Powervamp with the Governor’s Valued Partner Award. Governor Otter’s business background and enthusiasm for the State of Idaho is contagious and AERO Specialties is proud to have had the opportunity to participate in the Valued Partner Award presentation at the Paris Air Show,” said Dan Meyer with AERO Specialties. “Idaho is a serious player in the global aerospace and defense market and was represented well in Paris by the businesses and leaders of the state.”

“Our customer Pilatus was honored to receive the award, and they specifically requested a copy of the photo taken from the event. This award was very helpful in solidifying the good relationship that AeroLEDs has been working to develop with Pilatus as our largest European customer, and we are grateful to the Governor and the State of Idaho for providing this opportunity,” said Dean Wilkinson of AeroLEDs.

Jim Winkel of Aviation Specialties Unlimited said, “Having Governor Otter recognize our global partners and speak with them about what our great State of Idaho has to offer demonstrates his commitment to business development. His passion for global business is evident and he truly works hard to not only promote our state, but also the companies in Idaho conducting global business.”

One Idaho company presented the Governor’s Valued Partner Award to another Idaho business.

“Unitech Composites is proud to honor Tamarack Aerospace with a Valued Partner Award. The partnership we’ve built together working on the revolutionary Atlas active winglets as two Idaho-based companies has been invaluable to our organization and we look forward to continuing to develop and nurture this relationship,” said Mark Withrow of Unitech Composites.
