Summit aims to grow Idaho agriculture with technology
BOISE — Agriculture is a major driver of Idaho’s economy, and so is technology. That’s why some believe that together they can drive Idaho’s economy even further, which was the whole idea behind the Governor’s AgriTech Summit Tuesday.
Jeff Sayer is Idaho’s Commerce Director. “Today is a chance to elevate the conversation around the state of Idaho.” But Tuesday he was talking a lot about Idaho agriculture. “Agriculture is one of our bedrock components of our economy.”
He was also talking a lot about Idaho technology. But most importantly, he was talking about how to bring agriculture and technology together as a part of the Governor’s AgriTech Summit. “We view this as one of the most important conversations Idaho has had in a long, long time. And we’re really excited about the potential, and think it has great economic growth written all over it.”
