The Mountaineers Foundation seeks proposals from nonprofit organizations for projects that promote the study of the mountains, forests, and streams of the Pacific Northwest and contribute to preserving the region’s natural beauty and ecological integrity. The foundation awards grants of up to $5,000 for small, short-term projects that yield new data aimed at protecting the wilderness and wildlife of the Northwest; biological, economic, legal, or policy studies; direct educational programs and materials related to environmental preservation; and relevant lectures, conferences, and seminars.
