Last month, D&S Factors purchased its one-millionth invoice and acknowledged this achievement with a daylong celebration for its employees.  The Fruitland company specializes in factoring, which means it purchases a company’s accounts receivable to process payment immediately for the work done.  Generally, D&S works with trucking companies – reviewing the paperwork and then verifying the invoices to pay clients the same day.

D&S Factors was founded in 2003 by Doug and Scott Moscrip.  The company was built on the principals of family values, honorable ethics and teamwork.  It has become a well-known and highly respected factoring company within the transportation industry with almost 50 employees.

Under the direction of Diana Clover, its president and owner, the company has been honored as one of Idaho’s 75 Top Private Companies, ranked 25th in 2012.   In 2011, Treasure Valley Factors was launched by D&S to provide factoring to other industries including appraisal and crane services and construction.  D&S Factors and Treasure Valley Factors provide nonrecourse factoring – a process that involves extending credit based on a company’s own assets, cash flow and credit history rather than on the credit-worthiness of that company’s customers as is the case with recourse factoring. In 2013, Pavestone Capital was formed to provide recourse factoring to clients.

Company locations include D&S’s main office in Fruitland, as well as offices in Williston, North Dakota and South Jordan, Utah.  The companies provide accounts receivable financing for clients across the United States.

On June 28, 2013, when D&S Factors purchased its one-millionth invoice, Clover chose to honor the D&S team members for their great achievement with a celebration that included a scavenger hunt to several locally owned businesses in the area, games, and dinner for the employees.

“D&S Factors had humble beginnings in a cubicle with a few employees.  Our company’s growth is attributed to the hard work and dedication provided by our staff, so we wanted to thank our employees by celebrating this tremendous achievement with them,” Clover said.

In addition to celebrating its one-millionth invoice, D&S Factors also recently created a marketing department to handle new product development and launches, social media, and sales to specific target markets.  This department is responsible for promoting D&S Factors and its additional companies to provide consistent messaging to its current and future customers.
