Investopedia defines an ‘angel investor’ as an investor who provides financial backing for small startups or entrepreneurs.   What do you call a group of angel investors?  The Boise Angel Alliance!

BoiseAngleAllianceLogoThe Boise Angel Alliance (BAA) is a community of angel investors who seek to make investments in early stage Treasure Valley companies that have the potential to grow rapidly into national or international companies.  The BAA has provided more than $10.5 million in equity capital to 30 companies.  In the early stages, BAA wants companies just ready to begin generating revenue or with some revenue.

The BAA often functions as lead investors, working with the entrepreneur to design the offering and set the terms. The Boise Angel Alliance will consider investments from outside the Treasure Valley if they are led by another angel group in which the BAA has confidence.

Here is a summary of the BAA’s impact on the Treasure Valley:

  • $10.5M  invested by funds and members
  • 23 companies in the
    portfolio
  • 350 jobs created since 2010
