Idaho Travel Council
The Governor appoints an eight-member advisory board - the Idaho Travel Council - as prescribed in Idaho Code section 67-4712: Appointment of Idaho Travel Council Members to provide oversight of the Division of Tourism. Idaho Code section 67-4713: Member Qualifications, Term of Office, and Conflict of Interest details the qualifications of the members.
The Council meets around the state in January, March, May, August, and October. The public is encouraged to attend these meetings to keep informed about the Division of Tourism's marketing program. If you are interested in learning more about serving on the Idaho Travel Council, please contact Karen Ballard, Administrator, Idaho Division of Tourism. You are also encouraged to discuss your interest with current Council members. Applications for serving on the Council can be obtained from the Governor's Idaho State Boards and Commissions website. This website will also allow you to view board information, term expirations, and vacancies.
