Celebrate Spring in the Soul of Skiing

Blue skies, bright smiles, goggle tan lines, the zip of corduroy and crunch of corn snow. It’s all part of the soul of skiing experience as Ski Idaho heads into spring with recent snowfall statewide and a slew of events and deals for springtime snow lovers.
In addition to season-pass sales, lodging and ticket deals, Idaho’s 17 ski areas are also hosting a wide variety of spring events, including:
March 19-20• Sun Valley Monster Weekend: Appearances by SCOTT and X-Game athletes, a Freeskier-hosted party, a brand new Monster-themed and SPT-designed feature, and DJ’ed photo shoot.• Sun Valley Mad Turns for Haiti: NASTAR race with 100% of the entry proceeds going directly to makeadifferencenow.org.
March 20• Bogus Basin Hope on the Slopes: Benefiting the American Cancer Society.• Brundage Mountain O-Wimp-Ic Games: Riders & sliders of all ages compete in non-traditional ski slope challenges.• Schweitzer Mountain Stomp Games: Slopestyle and Ridercross events with both pro and amateur divisions (and March 21)• Silver Mountain Retro Days: Disco fever!
March 21• Brundage Mountain Celebrate Family Day: Free lift tickets for moms and kids 17 & under.• Lookout Pass Hawaiian Luau Festival: Big Kahuna Downhill
March 27• Lost Trail Skiesta Splashdown: Pond skimming and BBQ• Pebble Creek Spring Celebration & Fool’s Fest: Dummy Race• Pomerelle Mountain Big Trick Competition• Sun Valley Lunar Eclipse Rail Jam: Featuring Smith Limo Rail, flood lights at the base of Dollar, BBQ, beer, fire pits and a DJ.
March 28• Lookout Pass BBQ: Season Pass Holder Appreciation Day, Snow Golf Tournament• Pebble Creek Spring Celebration
March 29 – April 1• Bogus Basin Ski & Snowboard School Spring Break Session
April 3• Brundage Mountain Snow Battle (Yukigassen)• Lookout Pass Annual Slush Cup: Pond skimming competition• Schweitzer Mountain Tropical Daze: Hawaiian shirts, pond skimming, Duckie Derby and the Downhill dummy derby.• Silver Mountain Spring Carnival: Music and BBQ on the patio, ski races, pond skimming contest and Splashdown Rail Jam.
April 4• Brundage Mountain Easter Egg Hunt• Schweitzer Mountain Easter Service: Celebration at the summit• Silver Mountain Last Day: Easter egg hunt
April 10• Grand Targhee Cardboard Box Derby
April 17• Brundage Mountain Crazy Daze: Pond skimming competition
