Idaho Tourism to Promote Statewide Memorials

Boise, Idaho (November 10, 2009)-The Idaho Division of Tourism is in the process of updating its tourism website to house information on various memorials across the state.  

Memorials of all kinds will be featured, including all veterans memorials, the Ernest Hemingway Memorial, the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, Sunshine Mine Memorial, and the Wildland Firefighters Monument (part of the National Interagency Fire Center), just to name a few.  

“The Idaho Division of Veterans Services is happy to collaborate with the Division of Tourism in supporting the promotion of Idaho events, historical sites, our grand vistas, and memorials dedicated to America’s heroes,” Administrator David E. Brasuell said.  

The website also will feature memorial-type events, offering Idahoans and visitors alike the opportunity to experience very personal commemorations. For a listing of Veterans Day events, click here.
