9/24/2009
Salmon, ID: Join Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter for a breakfast presentation on Wednesday, October 7th, 9:00-10:30 a.m. at the Salmon Valley Business and Innovation Center.

Governor Otter will present "Building Our Economy: The Idaho Way," in which he will rally Idaho businesses and citizens to help grow Idaho's economy-encouraging local contributions toward comprehensive, coordinated, statewide efforts to increase hope, opportunity and independence by participating in Project 60.

What does Project 60 mean?

  • Creating a climate in which our companies-large and small-can grow and contribute to sustainable communities
  • Encouraging local self-determination and enabling Idahoans to become the architects of their own destiny
  • Empowering Idahoans to compete in the global marketplace
  • Exporting our goods, not our people
  • Providing a solid foundation for Idaho's families through education, connected communities and career opportunities
  • Providing the access and resources our young people need to realize their potential

The Governor will talk about his Business and Innovation summits. He also will announce plans for the Project 60 Website and ask businesses to become Project 60 Partners by going to the Website and signing up, sharing their success, pledging participation, or offering advice and networking opportunities to attract new or expanding businesses to Idaho.
