Premier Technology Set to Double Manufacturing Operation in Eastern Idaho

Blackfoot, ID: Premier Technology, Inc. has scheduled a public groundbreaking ceremony this Saturday for two additional bays (manufacturing buildings). The additional bays will double the size of the company's current manufacturing space in Blackfoot.
Idaho Governor C.L. "Butch" Otter will be the keynote speaker at the event. The public is invited. Food and beverages will be provided at no charge. The groundbreaking is scheduled for 10:00 am, June 13th at Premier Technology's headquarters located at 1858 W. Bridge St. in Blackfoot, Idaho.
Premier Technology President and CEO Doug Sayer stated, "Even though economic times are tough, I am committed to making this new investment in our company and our people. This expansion shows my confidence in not only this company, but also in our community and our great state of Idaho."
The estimated completion date for the project is December 2009. The expansion of the facility will add approximately 51,000 square feet of manufacturing floor space which will include new receiving, warehousing and electrical shop areas. The additional shop floor will be serviced by new overhead cranes and existing cranes will be upgraded for increased capacity.
In conjunction with the expansion of the facility, internal remodeling of existing space will be performed to accommodate additional office space and support staff. Construction is scheduled to proceed without impacting ongoing operations, keeping the facility operating at current capacity during the construction process.
Since opening its corporate headquarters in Blackfoot in December 2006, the business has doubled in size, growing from 175 to over 350 employees. The company is also currently in the process of hiring 30 new employees.
