“There’s been an increasing demand for this type of service in the markets we serve. Everyone’s personal time is such a valuable commodity and we provide the opportunity to be in McCall or Boise in less than an hour. This allows customers much more time to enjoy whatever activities they have planned at their destination instead of spending hours of time just getting there. If you are planning to ski, golf, visit friends or relatives or just relax, we simply give you more to time to do it. We are both excited and proud to be able to meet this demand,” said Dan Scott, CEO of McCall Aviation, the parent company of McCall Air. “Our commuter service will operate the same as any other carrier flying out of the Boise Air Terminal. We will be using electronic ticketing, and our ticketing counter is conveniently located by our gate at the west end of the airport’s lower level to serve our customers.”
McCall Air will have multiple airplanes available for service depending on the number of passengers booking flights. They range from Cessna 206 aircraft, each with seating for up to five passengers, to twin engine Cessna 402 and Britten Norman Islander aircraft that accommodate up to nine passengers. McCall Air will operate as a scheduled commuter air carrier in accordance with Department of Transportation and Federal Aviation Administration authorizations.
“We are excited visitors now can enjoy a much faster and more convenient method of travel to McCall and Valley County. Resort communities across the country have always benefited by having this type of commercial air service,” said State Tourism Director, Karen Ballard.
