Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter will lead an Idaho trade delegation to China in October 2016.

China remains a top country of interest to Idaho and the market continues to provide additional growth opportunities. China was the 3rd largest export destination for Idaho in 2014 and is now the 2nd largest export destination as of 2015. Additionally, in 2015, for the first time in history, China became the world’s largest economy producing $19.5 trillion in economic output, followed by the European Union (EU) and the United States.

Some of the leading opportunities in China include safety & security, aviation, automotive, clean coal technology, environmental technology, construction and green building, education, agricultural equipment, marine industries, tourism, medical devices, IT, oil and gas, nuclear, rail, food, and agricultural products.
