What is Show Me the Money?

Show Me the Money is the Idaho Department of Commerce’s electronic newsletter of funding opportunities for communities and nonprofit organizations. Each newsletter features grant opportunities covering a wide array of topics; arts, education, environment and recreation to name a few. In addition to the funding opportunities, the newsletter promotes upcoming events that may be of interest to our readers.

Are there grants for starting a business?

Generally speaking, no.  However, there are banks and community development lending entities that offer a wide array of low interest flexible termed loans for new businesses.  Contact your local bank or visit the Contacts section under the Business tab to find the nearest community development lender.
